Come to hear about … and talk about … the amazing Open Source activities happening on campus.
Registration is free (no-cost)
All are welcome to join! We ask that you register so we can have an estimate for catering.
Food provided will be labeled for ingredients and allergens, and includes vegetarian and vegan options.

Fun and informal event to celebrate Open Source at UCSC
Tentative Program:
5:00-5:45 - Food and socializing with others interested in Open Source software (OSS) at UCSC
5:45-7:00 - Lightning talks about UCSC OSS communities and projects as well as a general discussion about support and resources for OSS work.
7:00 - 7:30ish - Wrap-up from the UCSC Open Source Program Office (OSPO) and RAFFLE!
Who should come
Anyone from the UCSC community excited about working in Open Source. This includes:
- Students interested and new to Open Source but wanting to learn more about how to get involved and build important skills
- Students and researchers already working on projects and wanting to know more about on-campus support
- Researchers interested in how to grow their OS communities and build sustainable ecosysystems
